Making a pet goal video: cats, dogs and other unlikely strikers
How to turn a cat, dog or any pet into an AI soccer player: which photos work, what to expect, and how to share it.

Why pets work so well
A pet scoring a solo goal is funny without any explanation. The model stands your pet upright, puts it in a kit-coloured scene and gives it a footballer’s movement, while keeping its colouring and face recognisable.
Getting the photo right
Pets move, so take a few shots and pick the sharpest.
- Get down to their eye level rather than shooting from above.
- Show the whole animal. Ears, tail and paws all help.
- One pet per photo.
- Plain backgrounds beat busy sofas and patterned rugs.
- Wait for good light rather than using the flash.
Cats vs dogs
Both work. Cats with strong markings, like gingers, tabbies and tuxedos, tend to stay most recognisable. Dogs with distinctive coats or ears do well too. Very fluffy or very dark animals can lose detail, so pick your best-lit photo.
Beyond cats and dogs
Rabbits, hamsters, birds, toys, even a banana: the “Pet or anything” option works for any single, clearly visible subject. The odder the striker, the better the post tends to do.
