How to make the AI goal trend video for TikTok, Reels and Shorts

A step-by-step guide to the AI soccer goal trend: pick a photo, generate a 15-second vertical clip, then add music and post it.

What the trend is

The AI goal trend takes a famous kind of goal, a solo run past defenders and a chip over the keeper, and hands it to someone, or something, unexpected: a friend, a grandparent, a dog, a cat, a piece of fruit. The joke works because the goal is real-looking and the striker clearly isn’t.

Step 1: Pick your striker

Choose “A person” for yourself or a friend who agreed to it, or “Pet or anything” for an animal or object. Then upload one clear photo. Our photo guide covers what works best.

Step 2: Generate the clip

Sign in with Google and use one credit. Generation usually takes around four minutes. You can leave the page; the finished video is saved in My videos and we email you when it’s ready.

Step 3: Add sound and post

You get a 15-second, 9:16 MP4 at 720 × 1280 with no watermark, which is the native shape for all three platforms. Add music or commentary in the app’s own editor, using audio you are allowed to use, then post.

  • TikTok: upload, then pick a sound from the commercial or trending library.
  • Instagram Reels: upload from your camera roll and add audio in the Reels editor.
  • YouTube Shorts: upload a vertical clip under 60 seconds; Shorts adds it automatically.

Make it land

The best posts set up the joke in the caption: who the striker is, and why they deserve this goal. Keep it kind, and only post people who are happy to be in it.
